After spending decades winding myself around motherhood, family life, responsibility, and caring for others, I find myself standing in a strange in-between place. My child growing into adulthood, my mother slipping into cognitive decline, my marriage and home carrying the wear of time, and my own identity no longer as clearly defined by being constantly needed.
